How the market works

Each team starts the season with 50 points, gets 5 more each time a new week's games are posted, and keeps whatever it has from week to week. Every game has two contracts, one per team. A contract on the winner pays 1 point when the result is posted; the loser's pays nothing.

Prices move with the league's trading. Buying a team pushes its price up for everyone after you, and selling pushes it down. The price is the league's estimate of that team's chance to win: a contract at 0.60 means 60%.

Trade Monday through Friday. Trading closes Friday at midnight Central and stays closed all weekend, while the games are played. Sell any time before then to lock in a gain or cut a loss. A tie refunds everything spent on that game.

This runs on the honor system: trade only as your own team.
